Model

We will receive guidance from Chief Priest Kojima of Shingetsuin Temple in Sanda City. He is the 25th chief priest of Shingetsuin Temple, the family temple of the Kuki family, who were the lords of the Sanda Domain during the Edo period. He has opened calligraphy classes and cram schools on the temple grounds, which were once known as a haunted house, and is undertaking various initiatives to make the temple an "open temple."

In this calligraphy experience, you can feel the world of Zen, which has been passed down through calligraphy culture, along with the beauty of Japanese kanji characters. You will have a precious moment to reflect on yourself while feeling a connection with the characters.

Every Thursday from 16:00 PM (approximately 40 minutes)
*Reservations are required. If no reservations are received by noon the day before, the event will be canceled.
*Please note that the event may be canceled at short notice due to the head priest's schedule.

15,000 yen per person (excluding tax)
A calligraphy experience is offered, and a calligraphic work handwritten by the head priest will be presented as a hanging scroll.
